By the middle of this century, the population of Texas is projected to double to nearly 50 million people. This growth will put enormous pressure on natural resources, infrastructure, and the environment all Texans share. How our state deals with these issues is at the heart of Planet Texas 2050, a grand challenge launched by the University of Texas at Austin to provide insight and ideas, and help Texas prosper into the next century.
